At Family Wellness

Dealing with chronic pain, unrelenting stress, or health concerns that seem impossible to solve can feel overwhelming. When nothing else has worked, acupuncture can offer the relief you need.

What Is Acupuncture and How Can It Help?

Acupuncture is a century-old practice that aims to restore balance in the body and mind. Stimulating specific points can effectively reduce physical pain, relieve stress, and promote overall wellness. Whether it's pain that hasn’t responded to other treatments or ongoing stress affecting your quality of life, acupuncture can be a pathway to feeling better naturally.

At Family Wellness Acupuncture, we use the finest needles and apply them precisely to encourage your body’s natural healing abilities. This traditional wisdom, combined with our gentle and precise approach, offers a treatment experience that is both effective and deeply relaxing. We want to help you regain your health and enjoy life again.

Common Conditions We Treat

Acupuncture offers a natural and effective approach to finding relief in various health scenarios.

Many of our patients come to us after struggling with chronic pain, stress, or other concerns that conventional treatments haven't fully resolved. Acupuncture works by tapping into the body’s natural healing abilities, offering relief and promoting balance.

We focus on understanding what you’re experiencing and using effective, specialized techniques to meet your unique needs. Whether you're seeking support for specific health issues or simply looking for ways to enhance your well-being, we want to help you regain your health and enjoy life again.

Chronic Pain

Persistent back pain, migraines, or joint discomfort can make even simple activities difficult. Acupuncture provides a natural way to reduce pain and inflammation, helping you get back to living.

Stress & Anxiety

If stress or anxiety affects your sleep, relationships, or overall well-being, acupuncture may help ease that burden. Many patients feel significant relief and enjoy improved sleep after starting treatment.

Low Immunity and Fatigue

Feeling tired all the time or constantly getting sick? Acupuncture can boost your immune system and enhance your energy levels, helping you feel stronger day to day.

Women’s Health

Menstrual discomfort, hormone imbalances, fertility challenges, and menopause symptoms can all be supported with acupuncture. We provide care that addresses every stage of a woman's life.

General Health Concerns

You might not have a specific diagnosis, but you know you could feel better. Acupuncture can help boost your energy, improve your mood, and enhance your overall wellness.

What to Expect During Your Appointment

01.

Comprehensive Consultation

We’ll take the time to understand your health concerns, goals, and lifestyle.

02.

Personalized Treatment

During your session, fine needles are gently placed to stimulate healing points.

03.

Ongoing Support

After your session, we'll review and discuss a treatment plan tailored to your needs.

Along with acupressure or acupuncture needle treatments, your personalized plan may incorporate any of the following therapies during your sessions to support and enhance your recovery:

Moxibustion

This treatment uses an herb called Mugwort. It may be burned on the needle's handle, above the skin, on salt, or a slice of ginger. This is used to “warm” acupuncture points to quicken the healing process. Many acupuncturists also commonly perform moxibustion with warming pads.

Electric Stimulation

Also referred to as "Electro-Stim" or "E-Stim," this technique is where a low-level electrical current is applied to the acupuncture needles located at various points on the body. This is done to further stimulate the body’s qi and healing processes.

Cupping

This therapy is used for sore muscles, tension, neck pain, and the common cold. In this therapy, Family Wellness Acupuncture will place small glass or plastic “cups” over specific areas on your body. A vacuum is created under the cup using heat or suction. The team may move the cup over an affected area or leave it in place. You may leave the office looking as though a large octopus gave you a big hug. There is no need for alarm. The slight redness will dissipate.

Herbal Medicine

Herbal remedies have been around for centuries, long before modern medicine. They are used to heal illness and address psychological concerns. Herbal medicine can treat conditions such as asthma, eczema, premenstrual syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, migraine, menopausal symptoms, chronic fatigue, irritable bowel syndrome, and more.

The Unique Benefits of Japanese Acupuncture

Japanese acupuncture stands out for its precision, gentle techniques, and nuanced approach to treatment. With finer needles and a focus on personalized care, it’s perfect for patients new to acupuncture or prefer a lighter touch.

Gentle and Minimally Invasive

Japanese acupuncture uses thinner needles and shallow insertions to offer maximum comfort for those sensitive to treatment or new to acupuncture.

Tailored to Your Needs

Each session is personalized to your unique health profile, ensuring treatments effectively address your specific goals.

Subtle, Yet Effective

This approach activates natural healing processes with gentle stimulation, making it ideal for chronic conditions and deep imbalances.

Rooted in Holistic Wellness

Japanese acupuncture treats the root cause of health concerns while promoting balance and overall well-being.
